A canoe trip on the lake at sunset is a relaxing way to enjoy the lake and to see a variety of birds along the lake shore including the colourful papyrus kingfisher. Rogers, is a skilful boatman and knowledgeable bird guide. He can meet you with his canoe at the jetty by the Banga Beach Café, where you can buy cold drinks to take with you and, if you wish, order a fish dish which will be ready on your return.

A longer cruise, taking about one hour each way, is to visit the equator sign located on Lwaji Island and bird watching as you go.

We can organise transport to and from Banga Beach, 2km away, or you might like to walk there as it is all downhill and takes about half an hour.
